"Good." She said, smiling. History was NOT Elena's best subject and she couldn't be there alone. It would suck too much. When Caroline asked Elena to tell her everything, she laughed at her eagerness. "Um, don't know, don't know, and there's nothing." She giggled. "It was just a little bump." She told her, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. Bonnie never did answer her on whether or not she had Tanner first period or not.

"Oh, fine," Caroline sighed a little disappointed. "I guess I'll figure it out, later," she winked and the girls start walking towards class. "Do you think Mr. Tanner will be nicer this year?" she asked when she entered the classroom and gasped."Oh my God, look who shares his classes with us!"

She giggled at Caroline's disappointment, feeling a little bad she couldn't help. "Well, I have no doubt you will..." She told her, flashing a warm smile. Suddenly she heard the school bell ring. First class, woo-hoo. She smiled and began to walk with the girls to Mr. Tanner's History class. Mr. Tanner gets right into the lecture, so Elena had to get prepared during class and definitely not nicer.

They had entered the classroom after about a minute of walking and Caroline asked whether or not they had thought Mr. Tanner would be nicer. "Well, I would say yes, but I'd feel bad a minute later because I'd be lying to you.." She said, smirking. Suddenly, Caroline had pointed out the guy, hot back boy, to her. She laughed and turned to Caroline. "Good luck with that." She giggled.

She walked over to find her seat, with was in the third row. She frowned when she realized none of her friends were sitting next to hear. She noticed Bonnie was 2 seats behind her so it wasn't that despressing. Still depressing. Just not that depressing. "Good luck!" She would mouth to the two as she took her seat. She pulled her leather jacket off and set it on the back of her chair, noticing the guy was 2 rows over and kinda almost looking at her. She looked down, smiling, and turning to fast the board and began dwindling with her fingers. This is gonna be a good year...

Bonnie was sitting in History and was happy when Elena walked in. It was a bit sad that she was two seats in front of her though. She saw Elena outh to her and she smiled and gave a thumbs up this year was going to start great. I hope she thought to herself surprised that it came to her mind. She just had a weird feeling.

Stefan walked into his first lesson, history with Mr Tanner, seconds before the first bell had rung. He saw Elena walk in with two other girls, one who pointed out the face Stefan was sharing a class with her not so subtly. He bit his lip to stop himself from laughing then turned to face Elena, hoping that their eyes would meet.

Bonnie was sitting in her seat pretending to pay attention to the teacher and could not help but see how Elena and the new boy were completely playing staring tag. Bonnie looked and saw the boy looking at Elna again so she pulled out her hone and sent:

She smiled a bit as she read her message sent and waited for Elena to react.

Elena had gotten so settled in her own thoughts about the new year and the new boy, she had not noticed that Mr. Tanner had started teaching. "Ms. Gilbert?" Elena looked up. "Yes?" "Am I boring you?" "No, I'm sorry." "Alright." Elena smiled and readjusted herself so she was almost stiff in her seat. Not the best way to start first period on the first day, on the first minute.

Mr. Tanner walked back to his desk and continued on with his lesson. "Once our hometown, Virginia, joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension with the state." He would say as Elena looked to the back of the room and found Matt somewhat staring at her. She turned back and held her head dow.. This is not going to be easy. "People in Virginia's northern region had different ideas from those of the traditional deep South. And Virginia divided in 1863...." Elena turned back over gently to stare a little more at new hot back boy. She got a little glimpse before he ended up looking over to her. She smiled, shyly, and turned her face to Mr. Tanner and at least pretend she was listening to him.

Elena had actually begun to listen to him when she felt a little buzz at her waist. It was her cellphone.

1 NEW MESSAGE FROM BONNIE.

Elena casually looked away to the right of her and clicked OK so she could see the message.

Elena shook her head, actually laughing at the fact Bonnie was being so obvious. She set her elbows on the desk, smiling, and shot a glimpse of back boy out of the corner of her eyes. Yup. He was staring.
