"I Made it Through the Day..."

Elena had left school immidiately as the bell had rung. One of the benefits of being in Room B115, was the room was right next to the front doors. She decuded to walk to the cemetery to visit her deceased parents, a tradition she had held everyday since the funeral. Every day Elena would sit by their graves and write in her diary. About her day basically. It was a stress reliever and it certainly made the loses more easier, as Elena's mother had given her the diary.

Elena turned onto the street where the cemetery was located. Cars would go back and forward as they would drag wind with them and almost ruin her hair. She walked into the cemetery past a sign that read 'Mystic Falls Cemetery, Estd. 1792. As she passed, she heard a loud crow and almost jumped, turning back to see an empty road behind her. She was sort of still in fright, but shook of the fear and continued into the cemetery.

Elena took a seat across from the tombstones and wrote in her diary.

Dear Diary. I made it through the day. I must have said, "I'm fine, thanks" at least 37 times. And I didn't mean it once. But no one noticed. They really don't want an answer.

As she penned her last thoughts she noticed something. Strange. A crow, same as she had heard before, landed on the left side of the tombstone. She didn't care and looked back into her diary. But the crow wouldn't stop yapping and she looked up angrily again. "Okay. Hi bird." She would say, giving a little wave to it. It chirped it's loud screech again and she looked back to her diary and whispered shyly to herself, "That's not creepy at all..."

She looked around and was frightened again. Some fog had begun to reach her feet. It looked like maybe a fog machine was creating it but it was different, almost supernatural. She curled up a little, with her jaw open, until the stupid bird begun to chirp again. She lifted herself up with her palms and begun to slowly approach the creature. "Shoo!" She yelled, waving her hands in a motion that said, 'Get off my land!' "That's what I thought!" She said bravely. She turned to go back to her spot when the bird had basically blinked over to the top of the stone she was resting at as it screeched once again. She gasped, and slowly reached back down for her bag. Elena begun to walk slowly, until the fog began to get thicker. She then made a break for it and began to run.

As she ran down a tiny hill, she accidentally slipped and fell on her ankle. It felt bruised, but she brushed it off and got back up. She begun to walk slowly backwards, the turned so she could have a clear view of where to run. Suddenly, she turned and gasped. Heavily. She was frightened of the tall figure that had suddenly shown up.

Stefan sensed her here. He didn't know how, but somehow he just knew. He nearly jumped when he saw Elena running away, not really any idea why. He tilted his head in confusing, but there was worry in his eyes, as she had a look of terror on her face.

Elena, still panting heavily from the running, panicking and falling, scratched the back of her neck wondering where he'd come from. It was like he was everywhere. First the office, then outside the bathroom, in her class, and now in...a cemetery? There must be something fishy going on. She looked around and turned to look in behind her. She couldn't tell if the crow was gone, because the fog was still so thick so she turned back around. She had a hard time finding words so all she could spew out was the most idiot thing she's every said, especially seeing as this would kind of be a first, second-first, impression. "Were you following me?" She asked, still panting heavily.

He raised his brows a bit in confusion, but chuckled all the same. "No..." he told her. "I am Stefan... Stefan Salvatore." he said to her with a grin. He looked around wondering who she thought had been following her, but not sensing anyone else he turned his attention back to her.

Elena laughed sarcastically as the boy said no. He then introduced himself. "Really? And you just happen to be hanging out in a cemetery, eh?" She asked. It was strange. Who the hell comes to a cemetery during the day time. Elena had a good reason, but this guy's probably a stalker. I mean, think about it. It's always the cute ones you need to watch out for.

He gave the girl a small smile. "I promise I wasn't following you... I have family here," he told her, and technically he wasn't lying, he had many relatives scattered around, but he wasn't here to visit any of them.

Elena's mean-ness, was starting to turn to guilt. "Oh." She said, clueless. She should never assume the worst in people, which she does sometimes. "Wow, tactless." Her hair had messed up after she'd been running and falling, so she tucked what she could behind her ears. "I'm sorry." She apologized, for basically calling out the poor guy as a stalker, which he, now obviously, wasn't. "It's the fog, it's making me foggy." She said, trying to come up with an excuse for being such a bitchy...bitch. "And then," She pointed her thumb towards where she just was, "...There was this bird. And it was all very Hitchcock for a second. That is the bird movie, right? The Hitchcock....?" She asked, realizing she was now rambling. She hated when she rambled, it made her look geekier than she really was. All in all, Elena probably did consider her self a geek. See! Rambling. Still taking a deep breath from not breathing, from all the rambling, she smiled. "I'm Elena."

She nodded her head. "And about the whole you being Stefan thing, I know." She now realized she was sounding like the stalker. "You know, 'cuz we have history together." She said, hopefully making up for the stalker-ish vibes she's been giving off.

[OOC: I cant remember the exact dialogue, but I know the gist, if that is okay? I can change it if you want!)

He gave the girl a smile, to show that he was fine with everything. "It is okay, I promise" he told her, still trying to take in the resemblance, between the one who bit him over a century ago and the one who was standing right in front of him.

He saw that she still had a leaf in her hair, and reached over to brush her hair to a side, pulling the small leaf from it at the same time.

She looked over to her side as Stefan began to stretch his hand toward her. He grabbed a leaf still in her hair. She smiled, at her stupidity, and looked back at Stefan. "Thanks." After a few moments or so of awkward silence she noticed a beautiful ring with a remarkable stone on it "That's a really pretty ring."
